The tennis program in Special Olympics Virginia Area 26 has been active and steadily growing since 2012. The program holds practices in two locations and gives over 50 athletes the opportunity to train and compete in tennis. A large and dedicated group of volunteers as well as the support of local tennis facilities makes it possible for this program to exist. Athletes practice in fall and spring seasons and many go on to play in the Virginia Summer Games in Richmond every June. The program also hosts unified events where local high school tennis players pair up with athletes for fun and competitive matches. Fox Mill Woods Swim & Tennis is excited to contribute to this program and offer our courts for practices and support!
